PROJECTS: Public sector

We provide project, programme and change managers to leading organisations on an interim and contract basis - and our Associates have successfully completed hundreds of assignments. Below are just some of the projects undertaken in the Public Sector - client confidentiality means the councils described here cannot be identified. However, we can discuss these and other projects in more detail at face-to-face meetings. For more information call 01494 725885 or

CLIENT: a large London borough
ASSIGNMENT: change management and organisational design
ASSOCIATE PROVIDED: Change Management Expert
DETAILS: the Associate has been helping this London borough progress their eGovernment agenda by providing change management and organisation design expertise to the borough's contact centre project, which is attempting to launch a contact centre within very short timescales. As head of the change management workstream he is responsible for the communication to and engagement of staff at all levels of the organisation, including the council members. In addition to this tactical role, he is helping the borough build their change capability by assisting with the recruitment of a permanent team; devising their change approach; and embedding change management in the borough's project culture.
CLIENT: large county council
ASSIGNMENT: a new children's integrated records information system
ASSOCIATE PROVIDED: Project Manager
DETAILS: following the Children's Bill this county council decided to implement an application to enable sharing of information about children across multiple agencies. As Project Manager, the Associate's responsibilities included budget management (£500,000), risk management, planning and monitoring, and working within the Prince 2 project methodology. A proof of concept phase to capture data from education management and social care systems was completed successfully, followed by evaluation of proposals under S-Cat procurement procedures.
